Beth Messiah Synagogue of Cincinnati is a part of a spontaneous growing worldwide movement known as Messianic Judaism. Messianic Jews believe that Yeshua (Jesus) is the promised Jewish Messiah whose death fulfills Hebrew scripture in providing a permanent kipporah (atonement) for sin, and whose coming at the end of days (see Isaiah 2, Micah 4) will end a period of great tribulation and bring peace to the earth. Messianic Jews believe that maintaining a strongly Jewish lifestyle is an important aspect of living out their faith. Beth Messiah Synagogue enables them to fulfill this calling in their lives. At Beth Messiah, Jews and Gentiles alike can worship the God of Israel in a Jewish environment, celebrating the Jewish holidays and festivals in a meaningful way and raising their children in a Messianic Jewish lifestyle. A typical service at Beth Messiah includes many avenues through which individuals can worship God, expressing their love with all their heart, soul, and strength. These avenues include traditional Jewish liturgy and also what we call "Davidic Worship". Messianic songs are joy-filled and a typical service might include Israeli dancing and wholehearted praise expressions such as clapping and raising of hands, etc. (See Psalm 63:4) Beth Messiah encourages whole family involvement. There is teaching for the children, a dance workshop, prayer meeting etc. Beth Messiah is a member of the International Alliance of the Messianic Congregations and Synagogues, a congregational organization connected with the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America. Theater

Theatrical expression is part of Jewish culture, and the theater group at Beth Messiah participates in that tradition by performing original annual Purim spiels and sketches at other times such as to illustrate sermon points, celebrate holidays and festivals, etc. They also perform in the larger community as opportunities to do so are presented. The Messiantics M are a performing troupe within the theater group that study acting and perform together. If you are interested in being part of this group either in front of or behind the scenes, please contact Alissa or Darrin Ashworth.

    Music Worship

Worship" is central to every faith, and music is one of its most important and beautiful expressions. Thus, the Worship Ministry of Beth Messiah takes the job seriously. Our members are like the singers in 2nd Chronicles 20 sent into battle ahead of the army who sang, ""Give thanks to the Lord, for His love endures forever" and are like the writer of Psalm 92 (the psalm of the Shabbat) declaring, "It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High”! The Worship Ministry is blessed to have a wide range of musicians and vocalists who freely give of their talents and passion. There are different teams for Friday evening and Saturday morning services that offer music in both Hebrew and English from traditional songs in Jewish liturgy to the latest and best in Messianic Jewish and contemporary believing music. The ministry also provides music for occasions such as the High Holy Days and other special events. Any questions about the ministry, or interest in joining the team, can be sent to the ministry coordinator, Mary Feie.

Starting at age 5 children are welcomed into CM! Learning with a mission is a central theme in the teachings offered to your kids. We start the night off with 30 minutes of physical activities – common games are kickball, ultimate ball, tag, and crab soccer. During “Praise and Prayer” kids are given the chance to be prayed for. CM offers Biblically based lessons that teach Jewish ideas, themes, and lifestyle. We are a safe atmosphere for kids to grow in faith and working together for a brighter tomorrow.

  • Vision and Mission Statement

    Vision and Mission Statement

    Vision Statemtn

Beth Messiah Synagogue is a manifestation of G-d’s present-day regenerating and restoring work in the House of Israel. Beth Messiah Synagogue is a faith community where Jews embrace and strengthen Jewish identity and heritage as believers in Messiah Yeshua. At Beth Messiah Synagogue, Jews and Non-Jews have been made echad (one) in their embrace of Yeshua as G-d’s atoning Messiah who will reign on David’s throne. At Beth Messiah Synagogue, Non-Jews embrace Israel, prioritize a Jewish expression of their faith, and serve alongside Jewish believers.

    Mission Statemtn

Beth Messiah Synagogue, envisioning and assisting in the restoration of the people of Israel to their G-d and to their calling, will work this out in the following ways: Commit to, and grow in, a lifestyle of faith called Biblical Judaism; Reveal first to the people of Israel, and also to the world, the true identity of the Messiah Yeshua; Support Israel and the Jewish people in opposing all acts of hatred against them; Call the brothers and sisters in the Body of Messiah to the proper understanding of Gd’s covenant promises to Israel and their restoration.
